Letter from the CEO
As a trusted member of our growing BIC community, I’m reaching out to you personally to inform you of some important and exciting news.
There is no doubt that the current landscape is proving challenging for everyone in the education sector. As a college dedicated to student excellence and career enhancement, the health and safety of our students is our #1 priority.
Unfortunately, the current situation with Covid-19 makes it impossible to guarantee a 100% healthy and safe environment for our international student community.
Therefore, myself and my fellow Directors – in consultation with the University of London – have decided to postpone the physical opening of the College until August 2021 but to offer the International Foundation Programme online starting in January 2021.
The “IFP Online” has the full support and backing of the University of London which will ensure the high standards and quality of education that you and your clients would expect while allowing the students to study in the comfort and safety of their own homes. In this way, we will continue to provide our students with a 7-month intensive or 15-month extended high school level pathway that will take them to the UK or international university of their choice with an education that is not compromised or diluted in any way.
We remain resolved and dedicated to opening the physical buildings of Bristol International College in August 2021, once the situation has stabilized, but for those students who would like to start their university studies in Autumn 2021 the Online IFP is the ideal solution for bridging that gap and not wasting a whole year! (more details are attached to this letter).
We ask everyone to remain strong and vigilant during these difficult times and together we will come through it stronger and more unified.
