University Preparation Summer Course

Who is this course for?

Bristol International College (BIC) is running three 2-week intensive University Preparation Courses at the University of Bath in July and August for international students (15-17 years old) who want to experience life at one of the UK’s leading universities in a World Heritage City. The third course is also aimed at those students who will be embarking on the University of London International Foundation Programme at BIC from early September and is considered as a Pre-sessional course for those IFP students. 

Programme Requirements

  • Age range 15-17
  • B2 / IELTS 5.5 English level or higher

Programme Overview

  • 2-week intensive academic course of study (social sciences)
  • 40 contact hours
  • Core subjects: Maths, Economics (compulsory 10 hours per subject)
  • Elective Subjects: Law, Finance, International Relations, Politics, Information Technology, Criminology (choose 4 x 5 hours per subject)
  • Full-board campus accommodation in single study bedrooms
  • Mixed nationality classes of maximum 12 students

  • 6 UK university visits: University of Bristol, Cardiff University, University of London, University of the West of England, Exeter University, University of Oxford
  • Guided campus tours
